Daniel Janini

I'm a second-year PhD student at Harvard University working with Talia Konkle in the Cognitive and Neural Organization Lab. I research how the mind forms perceptual representations and how those representations are organized in the brain, particularly in the context of vision. I am also investigating how perceptual representations serve as input for higher-level cognitive operations, for example in comparison processes and analogical mapping. My approach involves the use of behavioral methods from the field of psychology to characterize the nature of the mind's representations and imaging methods from the field of neuroscience to determine how these representations are implemented in the brain.
